My first book,Creative - Designing Churches that Innovate, Create, and Engage, will be out in Fall 2015 if all goes well, and I'm pretty excited about it. Here's a quick description:
Ever noticed that some companies, corporations, and cities never seem to get off the ground or achieve well, while others take off and excel? It turns out there are striking commonalities in their structure and design that poises them to be effective. Places that develop and invest in people in a few key ways experience better results, higher engagement, and greater impact. In a rapidly shifting world, this is good news for the church. The equation for engaging the Next Generation, creating a place people want to be, and transforming our communities has never been more clear.
In Creative, Yentzer begins by assessing the flatter, faster world the church now exists in and the kind of church that people and communities around us desperately want to see now and into the future. The rest of the book is focused on adapting the successful strategies of cities and organizations and putting them to work for churches that desire to innovate, create, and engage.
Yentzer speaks as a Millennial passionate about the church, and from experience nationally and abroad in project management, consulting, and organizational development inside and outside the church.
